Zion Sing
This song was prophetic. I stayed home from church one night because I had a fever and was feeling ill and so my husband went by himself. My heart was also so heavy because of our church went through a split, and the church was struggling. While laying in bed, I asked the Lord, Where did the song of the church go? There was more gossip, backbiting, and hateful feelings than a worship song from the hearts of His people, and it was so sad. Right then, I felt a song stirring in my spirit and so, I pulled myself out of bed and went down to the keyboard. The word of the Spirit was "Zion will sing again!". Zion is another name for "The Church" or God's people. And so, this song was born.

My husband returned back home very excited to tell me about the word that was given at church. The word was "ZION WILL SING AGAIN!!!" I shouted and jumped around the house and told him the story on how the Lord told me the SAME THING!

Be encouraged, Zion [the church] WILL sing again. Do not despair. Keep the song of worship in your heart to the Lord. He's coming back for us!

This song is just a simple chorus that shows a desire to be holy before the Lord.

This song was probably one of my first songs ever written. No matter what we go through, He hears our call, and He comes to help us.

Dear Mom
This song was written to my mother, This song just tells it like it is. I don't see my mother much. She is in a different state, and what is even worse, her grandson doesn't see her much. I would love for my mother to enjoy our son growing the way she did with me. She has missed all the "big" moments in his life. Birthday parties, first steps, first words, first teeth... not by choice, but by circumstance. This song is for all you grandmothers who wish to see your grandchildren, or for a departed mother.
